Adam L. Whitsett, Attorney At Law
Adam L. Whitsett was born in Montgomery, Alabama on April 26,
1981. He spent his formative years in Pensacola, Florida and later moved
to Loretto, Tennessee.
Following in family footsteps, Adam matriculated to The Military
College of South Carolina where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with
Honors in 2003. While at The Citadel, Adam was President of the Inn of
Court, President of Citadel’s Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, a member of
the 2002-2003 Honor Court, and a four year recipient of the Citadel
Foundation Scholarship.
Upon completion of The Citadel, Adam moved to Columbia to attend the
University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, Adam
was the 3 year recipient of the Harry M. Lightsey, Sr. Scholarship and
received the CALI Award in International Law. Adam began his legal
career as a research assistant for Professor David G. Owen, during which
time he assisted in the editing the inaugural Products Liability Hornbook.
During Adam’s second year of law school, he became a law clerk at The
Finney Law Firm.
Upon Adam’s passing of the South Carolina Bar Exam in 2006, he
became the first associate of The Finney Law Firm, Inc. Adam is a
member of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, the South
Carolina Bar Association, and the Richland County Bar Association. His
practice areas are Family Law, Wrongful Death, Auto Accidents, Wills
and Estates, Appellate Practice, and Criminal Defense.
